千歳川のサケの遡上は8月から、2018年シーズンも8月26日に撮影していました。サケたちが産卵場所に選んでいるのは、湧水が流れ込む場所です。流れの水温が19度前後なのに対して、湧水部分は10度くらい。夏涼しく冬暖かく、サケが8月〜2月まで産卵できるのは、湧水のおかげ。卵を産んだサケたちは、そのあと大仕事に…。
The run-up of the Chitose River salmon began in August, and in 2018 season we also filmed the salmon on August 26. The place where salmons choose to spawn is where spring water flows. While the water temperature of the flow is around 19 degrees, the spring is about 10 degrees. It is cool in summer and warm in winter, and salmon can spawn from August to February. There is a big job after spawning!?
